AFRICAN DAUGHTER

Considered valueless,
Taken not too school because she's worthless,
Yet when she's married she's matchless.

She undergoes circumcision in pain,
Not to mention no gain,
And a lot of strain,
She strives to make it rain because she's got the brain.

Considered as an outsider even at her home,
Tries to make a Nome,
And live by it like a gnome,
She resides over her dome,
But can't have a own home.

Like a time bomb,
Her life tickles off and she's lied in the tomb,
Like unsung hero she goes not even a mumble.
